A grey dull day in

10.35 A grey, dull day in Nashville. The weather is analagous to the state of my wits. But I apply myself to book, pencil & guitar.

11.56
Pat & Ken were in at 11.00 and are preparing a rhythm template for "Seizure". This will give me an opportunity to test several ideas which are appearing.

18.41
Pat, Ken & I were waiting until 15.00 for Trey to arrive with Bill, which they did as I was about to get in a car and drive off to eat in town. Ade was invited down and we have tracked a template for "Larks' IV". Then I made some repairs but haven't yet nailed the nasty, fast, cruel section. That I'll leave until the beginning of a day rather than towards the end, when wit is low and dribbling psyche high.

Toyah is in Manchester tonight.

20.23
Adrian has overdubbed / repaired his basic part to LIV. He has created a monster-beast-of-terror sound (a rich timbral enhancement of his commonplace distorted overtones) and joins the Rhythm Buddies on their power shots for the nasty, fast, cruel section where a solitary guitarist playing one note at a time is stomped upon by three very, very large and weighty characters. Right now, the lead line is only an excuse for a wonderfully powerful, inventive accompaniment to step forward into the front line.

21.04
Everyone has gone home, all on a scale somehere between exhausted & wiped.
